If you want to help more people understand the value of financial advice, or you want to get people that are not already getting advice from you to understand why they should, I’ve got the thing for you.
You’ve got to give them this book.
It’s amazing, it’s called The Breakfast Club For 40-Somethings.
Now, it’s written by a woman called Vanessa Stoykov, you might have heard of her or seen her around.
She’s certainly a thought leader in our industry.
She was the creator of the No More Practice Education series, she’s all over the media, literally wherever you turn at the moment.
She’s getting out there and she’s on a mission to help educate more people around why they need advice, and the value of seeking financial advice.
But, here’s the thing, and this is why this book was so good.
It’s written like a story.
It’s just a fable of a whole lot of kids that had been together at school.
They’ve kind of all grown up and gone their separate ways, and they come back for a school reunion.
And what it does, is it weaves in the different paths that their life took.
And then of course, there’s a Financial Adviser involved, and he kind of unpacks a lot of where they’re at and a lot of the insecurities they’ve got, the problems, the challenges.
And also, how we judge someone from the outside in when we don’t really know what’s going on behind the scenes.
And throughout this really fun, interesting, novel almost, it actually gives you some of the reasons and the benefits for seeking financial advice.
It’s absolutely brilliant!
It is one of the business books that’s so not ‘businessy’ or in your face.. to the point where I want every single family and friend of mine who have not got an adviser right now, to read it.
Plus, it’s really, really interesting.
Like I said, it’s kind of like a novel but with a beautiful underlying meaning behind it.
So, if you haven’t got a Christmas present already sorted for friends and family, this is it.
Or, maybe it’s just something you want to give clients to remind them of the value of why they’ve got you giving them advice around their money.
Whatever you do with that, Make It Count.
