One of the most amazing things that we can do as humans, to really create deep connection with each other, is conversations.
Now, I’m a big, big fan of deep and meaningful conversations.
I love going deep into the juice and really getting to the heart of what’s going on.
But I know that that’s not easy, and it’s not everyone’s cup of tea.
But one of the hardest conversations for us to have as human beings, whether it’s with our clients, whether it’s with our family, spouse, kids, whatever, is conversations around money.
And they can get in the way of so many beautiful relationships.
So a woman who is a friend, colleague, love her to bits, Vanessa Stoykov, has just written her second book, and it’s all around The five conversations about money that will radically change your life.
And seriously, it is so easy to read and so important.
So I’ve been in financial services for over 30 years.
So money has been a really big conversation in my world.
But when I read this book, I realised that there were actually conversations that I wasn’t having with my husband, about money, or with my kids about money that I really should have been having.
And there’s lots of reasons why, you know, it was uncomfortable or didn’t think it was going to make sense.
And I don’t want there to be any of that taboo.
This book gives you incredible tips and ways that you can have these five different conversations, get these money, conversations on the table, get them addressed and dealt with, so that they don’t come back to haunt you later on.
Now, this is written even for those in financial advice.
So if money is your thing, and money is what you advise on, this book can still be incredibly valuable.
It can even be something that you can give to your clients so that they can read it in their own time, or to give to your friends and family, or to read yourself.
Like I said, I got a lot of value out of it, yet I’ve been in financial services for 30 years.
Because conversations really are where you can get to the heart of matters, you can address them, you can solve them or you can resolve them whatever it might be.
But if you don’t have them (conversations), then it makes it really difficult.
And nobody wants conversations about money to get in the way of what could be a really beautiful and rewarding relationship.
So if you get a chance, check it out, I highly, highly recommend it.
And here’s to having more of those conversations that get to the heart of what’s going on.
Because after all You are valuable!
