One Way to Make Your Client Relationships Succeed

Today’s video explores one small thing you can do that can make a big difference when it comes to making a happily ever after relationship with your clients. 

The best relationships are those when both parties know exactly what to expect from each other.

So no different to any intimate, personal relationship where you set the expectations from the very beginning.

Now, maybe you don’t outline it directly, but you make it very clear what they can and can’t get away with if they want to stay in a relationship with you.

It’s no different in business.

So one of the tips that I would absolutely be doing today in business is to make it very clear what you expect from your clients so that you can continue to help them on their journey.

Write it down, tell them: we expect that when we call you, you get back to us.

We expect that when we ask you to come in to see us, that you make time to do it.

We expect that you’ll tell us when things change in your life, or when something goes wrong, or if there is a decision you need to make.

Outline what all these things are and capture them, put them on your website, put them in your information brochure, put them on your welcome kit before the client comes in.

Put them in your terms of engagement, any type of contract or service agreement that you have in place.

And continue to remind them of these expectations throughout the relationship.

Honestly, it’s the best way to make sure that you can do your best work, help them on their journey, and together you both get a better result.
