One of the questions Kim asks me in every meeting is, “Why should I (as a customer) use your services?”
Recently I attended a networking function where I was asked by someone why they would use my services, given he has access to a cheaper offering online.
I then had a discussion with this person about his needs, his goals and discussed some concepts and strategies which might benefit him. I was able to clearly demonstrate that whilst price is important, it’s often the strategic thinking and application that can make a massive difference to the eventual outcome.
At the end of the conversation this person told me that in five minutes I’d given him more useful information than every other competitor had ever given him combined. Even better, a competitor was also present and he was taking notes!
