In today’s video, share how you can use the old 80/20 rule to help focus your time and energy on activities that get you results.   

MAKE IT COUNT – PRACTICAL POINTERS TO GROW YOUR BUSINESS IN ONLY MINUTES 

Most of you would have heard of the 80 20 rule and understand the concept that 80 percent of your revenue comes from 20 percent of your clients, or something along those lines.  

So what I want you to think about is the Advisers that do the best spend the majority of their time doing the activity that generates them the most revenue.

• Is it getting out there speaking to more people?

• Is it doing videos or promoting or doing educational content?

• Is it speaking in events or running seminars?

• Is it just sitting down in front of more centers of influence or referral partners and talking to them about some of the things that you’re doing and how it could help their clients?

It’s going to be different for all of you but one of the most productive things that you can do, if you want to grow your business and you want to get more clients, is to sit down and think about; what are the most important activities that I do that generate or get the most activity in the area that I want.

And without getting technical about 80 20 rule, it’s about… what are the activities that you do that generate the most business?”

So if you are the Adviser that’s responsible for getting new clients on board, what activities do that?

It’s going to be different for all of you but one of the most productive things that you can do, if you want to grow your business and you want to get more clients, is to sit down and think about; what are the most important activities that I do that generate or get the most activity in the area that I want 

And if you can do that and then think about right, if these are the activities that I need to spend more time doing, what are some of the other activities that I’m currently spending my time on (which maybe I need to) but maybe someone else in my business or someone I don’t have yet in my business (so it could be another team member or an offshore team member) might be able to do.  

So where could you potentially delegate some activity or where could technology takeover and potentially automate something you’re doing so that you can get back to those activities… the real 20 percent of activities that generate that 80 percent of your business. 

Because when you do that, only then are you going to give yourself a much better chance at growth and getting the number of clients in the door and the quality of clients that’s going to give you those growth targets that are important to you.  

So whatever you do with that, Make It Count.
