Build a business that makes you proud

PRACTICAL IDEAS TO LEARN, TRY AND DO

A simple tip to make sure you work ON your business [VIDEO]

Here’s a short video (under 2 minutes) to help your business grow.

If you prefer to read it, keep going.

In today’s video, I share how I manage my diary to make sure I have time booked in every week to work ON my business.

It’s Monday here, in freezing cold Melbourne.

Now that won’t mean a lot to you, but what it means for me is it’s the day that I work on my business.

So every Monday, blocked out in my diary, is work on your business day Kim.

And I’ve been doing this for a number of years, and it’s golden because I don’t make any appointments on this day, unless it’s a real exception and I’ve got a client that I can’t work with any other way.

And it means also that all the activities that I’ve got to do to grow my business, I actually get to do.

Tuesdays, Wednesdays and Thursdays are set aside to work with my clients, either face to face, a lot of Skype or Zoom meetings or email meetings, whatever it might be.

And then on Friday, I do all the follow up from meeting with my clients on Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday.

I’ve been doing this for many years now, and it’s such a habit that’s ingrained in me that if someone rings up and wants to make an appointment on a Monday, I can pretty much say that Monday’s are booked out to do the work that I need to do… like this, like create videos.

And I love it, it’s great because I also know that I’m working on my business.

It’s scheduled in my diary so that I don’t let it go into the bottom of my to do list or my priority list.

So that’s just how I manage my diary, and as you can see I’m casual.

I’m working from home.

I don’t have appointments.

How do you manage your diary?

How do you importantly schedule time to work on your business, into your busy hectic lives?

I’d love to know!

Even better, share a video and tell me how you actually do it.

Really interested, because it’s horses for courses.

What works for me does not necessarily mean it’s going to work for you.

Share it.

I’d love to hear.

And whatever you do with that, Make It Count.
