PRACTICAL IDEAS TO LEARN, TRY AND DO

Make your advice easy to understand using simple infographics [VIDEO]

Here’s a short video (just 3 minutes) with a practical idea to help your business grow.

I’ve also included the written version if you prefer to read it.

Give it a go – and make every minute count!

In today’s video, share how you can help more people understand your advice and technical concepts by presenting the information in easy to use and visually appealing infographics.

MAKE IT COUNT – PRACTICAL POINTERS TO GROW YOUR BUSINESS IN ONLY MINUTES

People don’t buy what they don’t understand.

OK it’s human nature.

If they don’t understand something, it’s going to be a very very difficult job to get them to take action.

And that couldn’t be truer than when it comes to financial advice.

I mean you understand what it’s about and how valuable it can be, but the majority of people don’t (as evidenced by the amount of people who don’t get advice but need it).

So you’re throwing it back to you as an adviser, it’s up to you to help better educate more people around why they need advice what the value of the advice is and how it can help them in their lives.

And one of the easiest ways to do this is to develop content that’s educational and really easy to use.

So I’m a really big fan of using infographics

So an infographic is (for those who don’t know), it’s putting quite a lot of complicated detail into really simple digestible bits, using images and icons to break it up so it’s visually appealing and often using layman’s speak.

So ridding all of the jargon, all the technical language out of it and just putting it together in one or two pages, or there are quite long infographics you can scroll.

But you can also just put it on one or two pages and explain something that’s quite complicated in really easy to understand terms.

So, just say for instance you provide personal insurances.

One of the easiest things that you can do is to provide an infographic around not only the value of personal insurances in someone’s life and to protect the people they love, but the value of using you, the advisor and getting their personal insurances looked after.

Because you know there’s so many people out there who still don’t associate the value of an adviser with getting a claim or getting a pay out if something went pear shaped.

But whatever it is, whatever advice you provide or if there’s something that you need clients to understand, think about “how can I make these easy, simple and digestible in like one or two pages?” and infographics are absolutely wonderful to do it.

Now you can create your own infographic, you can just get a word document or get a Powerpoint document.

But there’s also lots of tools online available that you can use to get them done (just google them).

You could use a graphic designer overseas, like I use one that costs me fifty dollars a pop to get them created. They’re great, I put my logo on it and off I go.

So whatever you do, try to think about ‘I need to increase the level of understanding in whatever it is that I’m trying to do with my clients and how can I do it easily and simple and an infographic is one of those ways.

Now this is a bit of a longer Make It Count but I really feel so passionate about this and about helping you increase the level of understanding because people who don’t understand don’t buy and take action

And that’s not a good result for anyone.

So whatever you do with that Make It Count.
