Here’s a short video (just a tad over 2 minutes) with a practical idea to help your business grow.
I’ve also included the written version if you prefer to read it.
Give it a go – and make every minute count!
In today’s video, I share a simple tool you can use to remind clients why they need you and to reinforce how valuable you are.
MAKE IT COUNT – PRACTICAL POINTERS TO GROW YOUR BUSINESS IN ONLY MINUTES
Here’s a really easy way to help bring to front of mind the things that you need to say that remind clients or that explain to clients how valuable you are.
I like to call it a value table.
And all you do is down the left hand side, capture all of the specific things, or the generic things that could be going on in your clients’ lives. Or some of the challenges that they face, when it comes to getting advice.
So, could be things like, ‘there so much information around that they feel overwhelmed; they are too close to what’s going on their lives, so they can’t be objective when it comes to decision making’.
Or, ‘they’re so busy living their own life, and doing what they do, they have no time to possibly spend also looking after their financial affairs’.
So, write all of those things down, do a big brain dump.
Then in the right hand column, and it can be in the corresponding line, write down all of the ways that you help.
Now, some of these things again will be reasonably generic, so go back to my first example about ‘there’s too much information out there, I just feel overwhelmed.’
Well what you do?
You filter that information, so that they can make head-and-tail of it.
Or you filter that information, and share with them what’s relevant and what they need to take or pay attention to.
Or maybe it’s the one about they don’t have enough time because their busy living their own life.
What do you do?
You do this every day, you help people manage their money and financial decisions, so you can give them the guidance and the objectivity that they either don’t have or haven’t got the time to do.
So you get the drift.
So you have a lovely column of what’s going on in their world, a lovely column of what you do and how you bring your value and expertise to the table that obviously addresses their challenges and… ‘whala!’
You’ve got your own library of content that you can draw upon.
You can bring it to any ‘copy’ if you are writing any marketing or writing any emails to clients or it might just be something that will prompt you when you’re having a conversation.
Anyway, I’ll put an example of one with some real-life example content in it below.
Jump in (here) and grab that if you like to get a bit of a head start.
But whatever you do with it, Make It Count.
