PRACTICAL IDEAS TO LEARN, TRY AND DO

How you can help clients take action on your advice. [VIDEO]

Here’s a short video (under 2 minutes) to help your business grow.

If you prefer to read it, keep going.

Today’s video is an example of the little things you can do to help clients take action on your advice and get the results you intend.

If you want to get clients taking action and doing more of the stuff that you ask them to do, then think about all the little things that you could do along the way that will help them do it.

So, for example I’m having dinner with a financial adviser the other day and they’re getting really big on helping clients with all of their cashflow and budgeting.

So we’re not using those words.

We’re talking about, you know, how to have a spending plan and how to enjoy putting your money where you actually want it.

But one of the things that he talked about that he has found worked really well was doing a meal plan

Now most of you know what this is and I’m sure there’s a lot of you listening to this who’ve got your own meal plan… but if you’re giving that advice to a client and just say it’s not something they do right now, don’t just tell them to go out and get a meal plan.

Have a stash of those meal plans, you know the ones where it’s just a piece of paper, it’s got each of the days of the week and there’s a magnet on the back that you can put on your fridge so you can very very clearly see as a family what the meals are that you’re going to enjoy.

Then have a stash of those so when you’re having that conversation with the client you can say “Hey I’ve got a couple here, take one, give it a go…this is how I do it.

And see what happens.

It makes your advice so much easier when whatever you’re suggesting you’ve got the tool to actually give the client so that they can do it too.

That’s just one example.

I’m sure there’s many other things that you can come up with where you make a suggestion about them going away and doing something.

How about you make it even easier for them to do that

I tell you what I’d rather have a meal planner on my fridge because then when my mates come over and see it I can say “Yeah my financial adviser gave me that.”

Or whoever it might be.

Anyway, whatever you do with that, Make It Count.
