Today’s video is about how you can determine the skills you need to bring into your business to help it grow. 

One of the biggest questions that I often get is an adviser saying “Kim I need another one of me in the business because I’m at capacity, and I’ve got no room to move, the business is completely dependent on me, so I’ve got the solution – it’s to find another me.”

However, that couldn’t be further from the truth.

In actual fact, no matter how good you are, you probably don’t need another you.

I mean its kind of like being in a relationship with someone exactly the same as you. Wow! Do you reckon that would work?

Or do you think it might be better to be with someone who compliments you, as opposed to, who replicates you.

And it’s the same in business.

If you’re a key adviser in your business and you are very much responsible for giving the advice, then if you want to step away from that or move into other areas of the business, then you need someone else that can come in and potentially compliment what you already do. (Someone) that’s got skills in areas that, let’s face it, are not your strengths… although I bet you are good at everything (wink wink).

However, there some things that you’re better at than others.

So if you are looking for the next succession or the next person to join your team, it might be worthwhile thinking about what are the skills that are different to yours, but complimentary.

What are the skills that you need to bring into the business that you don’t currently have today, that will give you a more well-rounded business and actually more chance at getting some of those results that you know are possible… and you know you deserve.
